Slowly Getting Back To Full Strength: Marc-Andre Gragnani and Rod Pelley, who have both missed the last five games with upper-body injuries, are still being classified as “questionable” for this weekend’s games. Corey Tropp has recovered from the illness that sidelined him last weekend, but Brian O’Neill missed Wednesday’s practice with an illness.
News & Notes: Since returning from the All-Star break, the Devils have won five of their last six games, including three straight. Since Feb. 5, Mike Sislo has led the way with eight points, including six goals and two assists. Reece Scarlett, Brian O’Neill and Brandon Burlon are next with five points each. Scarlett has a goal and four helpers and O’Neill has two tallies and three assists. Burlon has five assists. In goal, Yann Danis is 4-0-0 with a 1.22 goals-against average, a .946 save percentage and two shutouts. Ken Appleby is 1-1-0 with a 1.52 goals-against average, a .948 save percentage and one shutout.
Welcome Back Boys: After a one-day stint with the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL), defenseman Joe Faust and left-winger Ben Johnson are back with the Devils. Both players were reassigned after competing in the Thunder’s 4-0 loss against Wheeling Tuesday at Glens Falls Civic Center. According to Head Coach Rick Kowalsky the Devils wanted to “keep them fresh and get them in a game situation.”
