GLENS FALLS, NY – After having their four game winning streak halted Friday, the Albany Devils will try and get back in the win column when they travel to face the Adirondack Phantoms at Glens Falls Civic Center. Saturday’s 7 pm contest will be the first of a pair of games between the two clubs within a week. They will face off next Friday at Times Union Center.

– The Devils are fifth in the Northeast Division and tied for fifth in the Eastern Conference at 10-7-0-1 (21 pts.). The Phantoms are fourth in the division and 11th in the conference at 7-7-0-2 (16 pts.). Albany is 5-3-0-1 on the road, while Adirondack is 3-3-0-1 at home.

– With a goal and an assist Friday against Springfield, Reid Boucher is tied for sixth among AHL rookies with 15 points (7g-8a).

Tim Sestito registered his third goal of the season Friday. He has produced seven points in 17 contests this season.

– Adirondack is coming off a 5-2 loss against Binghamton Friday. Jason Akeson and Tye McGinn both registered a goal and an assist.

– Akeson leads the Phantoms with 10 points, backed by two goals and a team-best eight assists. Rookie Nick Cousins is second with nine points, including three goals and six helpers.

Devils vs. Phantoms Series
The Devils are 22-20-5-4 all-time against the Phantoms, including a 15-6-2-3 home mark and a 7-14-3-1 road record. This season, Albany claimed a 4-1 victory at Times Union Center on Oct. 14, but lost 3-1 at Glens Falls Civic Center on Nov. 2 and 2-0 at Times Union Center on Nov. 9.

During the Nov. 9 game, the Devils were on the wrong side of two unfortunate bounces that led to a 2-0 Phantoms win. Goaltender Scott Wedgewood made 23 saves. Adirondack’s first goal came when Rob Bordson’s centering pass deflected off a Devils stick and into the net at 13:07. Just over four minutes later, Mark Alt’s point shot was first redirected by Nick Cousins and again by Ben Holmstrom, pin-balling over the goal line at 17:27. After Saturday, games between the two clubs at Times Union Center will be played on Nov. 29, Dec. 27, Jan. 25 and Feb. 15. Outings at Glens Falls Civic Center are on Jan. 4, Jan. 18, Feb. 21 and Apr. 6.

Puck Drop
Albany has won five of its last seven road games, including three of its last four. Away from Times Union Center, the Devils have earned 11 points with a 5-3-0-1 record. They are outscoring opponents 25-22.
