BRIDGEPORT, CT – The Albany Devils put their franchise record six-game home winning streak on hold for a 3 pm outing against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Sunday at Webster Bank Arena. The Devils have won eight of their last 10 games, going 8-1-1-0.

– The Devils are second in the Northeast Division and fourth in the Eastern Conference at 19-8-2-1 (41 pts.). The Sound Tigers are fourth in the division and 14th in the conference at 12-16-1-1 (28 pts.). Albany is 8-4-1-1 on the road, while Bridgeport is 8-8-1-0 at home.

– The Devils are coming off a 4-1 win against the Portland Pirates Saturday. Keith Kinkaid made 38 saves for his 13th win. Offensively, Joe Whitney, Seth Helgeson, Mike Sislo and Rod Pelley each found the back of the net.

– Helgeson’s goal was the first of his career. In 30 games this season, he has six points and a +5 rating. The Devils defenseman played 150 college games with Minnesota, spanning four seasons and totaling seven goals and 20 assists.

– The Sound Tigers lost, 6-2, at the Springfield Falcons Saturday. Andrew Clark, Anders Lee and Matt Donovan each scored. Anders Nilsson made 20 saves on 26 attempts.

– Lee leads Bridgeport with 25 points, backed by 12 goals and 13 assists. Mike Halmo is second with 23 points, including 12 goals and 11 helpers.

Devils vs. Sound Tigers Series
The Devils are 17-22-3-5 all-time against the Sound Tigers, including a 14-7-1-2 home mark and a 3-14-3-3 road record. This season, Albany is 4-1-0-0. Sunday’s contest will be the fourth meeting between the teams in December and the fifth since Nov. 30.

Last time out, Mike Hoeffel scored at 10:14 of the third period to tie the game, 3-3, but Dallas Jackson netted the game-winning goal with 93 seconds remaining, giving Bridgeport the 4-3 edge last Sunday. Harri Pesonen and Scott Timmins also scored for Albany. Other meetings between the two teams this season include contests at Times Union Center on Jan. 31 and Apr. 11. Games at Webster Bank Arena are on Feb. 8 and Feb. 16.

Puck Drop
The Devils 2.47 goals-against average is tied for fourth in the league. The team is on pace to allow a franchise-low 187 goals. The 2006-07 team holds the current record of 220 (2.75 GAA), which was done during an 80-game schedule.
