The Devils embark on their three-game road weekend with a 7 pm outing against the Pirates Friday. Entering the contest, the Devils are 24-5-2-2 when scoring three or more goals and 23-3-0-1 when allowing two or fewer goals.
Defenseman Seth Helgeson is set to play his 57th game of the season; he’s the only Devil to appear in everyone contest so far. The rookie has registered eight points (1g-7a) and a +7 rating.
Andy Miele has been a bright spot for Portland. He is fifth in the AHL with 57 points, backed by 23 goals and 34 helpers in 54 contests.

Devils vs. Pirates Series
Friday’s meeting will be the third of the season and the 47th all-time between the Devils and the Pirates. The Devils are 17-20-1-8 against the Pirates with a 9-9-0-6 home mark and an 8-11-1-2 road record.
Last time out, Keith Kinkaid made 38 saves and the Devils unloaded three goals in the second period for a 4-1 win against the Pirates on Dec. 28 at Times Union Center. Joe Whitney,Seth Helgeson and Mike Sislo each scored in the middle frame and Rod Pelley added an empty netter late in the third.
Albany and Portland will meet again at Androscoggin Bank Colisée on Apr. 18.
