UTICA, NY – The Albany Devils will try and stretch their point streak to five games when they conclude their road trip with a 7:45 pm contest against the Utica Comets at the Utica Memorial Auditorium. A win Wednesday would move Albany to 4-1-0-1, which would be the franchises best start after six games.

Notables
- The Devils are third in the Northeast Division and seventh in the Eastern Conference with a 3-1-0-1 (7 pts) mark, including a 1-1-0-1 road record. The Comets are fifth in the North Division and 15th in the Western Conference with a 0-3-0-0 showing. Wednesday’s game is the Comets home opener.

- The Devils have allowed two or fewer goals in four consecutive games. The team’s 2.00 goals-against average ranks tied for third in the league.

- Albany is coming off a 2-1 shootout win at Norfolk Saturday. Scott Timmins netted a power-play goal during the second period and Scott Wedgewood made 25 saves. In the shootout, Stefan Matteau and Joe Whitney scored in the second and third rounds, respectively. Wedgewood denied all four Admiral attempts.

- Utica is coming off a 6-4 loss at Rochester Saturday. Pascal Pelletier had a goal and two assists and Darren Archibald and Zach Hamill both registered a goal and an assist. Netminder Joacim Eriksson made 20 saves on 25 shots.

Devils vs. Comets Series
Two weeks ago on Oct. 12, the Albany Devils hosted the Utica Comets for the first ever meeting between the two clubs. Reid Boucher, Mike Sislo and Joe Whitney each scored in Albany’s 3-2 victory. The two teams will meet again at the Auditorium on Jan. 17 and Times Union Center on Feb. 23.

Puck Drop
Before the Comets, the last AHL team to occupy the Auditorium was the Utica Devils (1987-93). Albany assistant coach Tommy Albelin and New Jersey goaltender Martin Brodeur both played for Utica.
