The Devils three-in-three road weekend comes to an end Sunday with a 3 pm outing against the Sharks at DCU Center. The Devils are 1-1 so far this weekend, while the Sharks are 2-0. Albany has drifted to eighth place in the Eastern Conference after Saturday’s 4-3 loss at Hartford. However, the Devils, whose winning percentage ranks sixth in the conference, do have a few games in hand on teams ahead of them in the standings.
A goal against the Wolf Pack Saturday secured Joe Whitney‘s second straight 20-goal season. The third-year-pro netted a career-high 26 tallies last season.
Mike Sislo, who also scored Saturday, is a goal away from equalling Whitney’s team-leading mark. Sislo has registered a career-best 19 goals in 47 contests.
