SPRINGFIELD, MA – In their final meeting this season, the Albany Devils travel to face the Springfield Thunderbirds Sunday for a 3:05 pm face off at MassMutual Center. The Devils are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss in Syracuse Saturday. Their current record stands at 34-25-2-2. The Thunderbirds are coming off a 4-2 loss in Providence Saturday and hold a record of 26-27-8-2.

Looking For Revenge: The Devils and Thunderbirds faced off Friday night in Albany and the Thunderbirds walked away with a 2-1 six round shootout victory. Mackenzie Blackwood and Adam Wilcox each turned aside 28 of 29 shots but it was Wilcox who turned aside all six shootout round shots to get the win.
60 Isn’t Enough: Albany and Springfield have faced off three times so far this season and every game has gone into either overtime or a shootout. On Jan. 11, the Devils won 3-2 in overtime, on Jan. 13 the Thunderbirds won 3-2 in the extra frame and on Friday, the Thunderbirds won 2-1 in a shootout.
