The Devils had a busy weekend playing three games in three nights and began the weekend set with a 3-2 shootout win against the Connecticut Whale. The victory was the first of the season for the Devils, who received scoring from Joe Whitney and Matt Anderson. Matt Taormina scored the lone goal in the shootout and goaltender Keith Kinkaid, who had 30 saves, denied all five Connecticut tries. After a 6-1 setback at Worcester on Saturday, the team returned to the Times Union Center against Binghamton. A solid 40 minutes resulted in a Devils, 2-1, lead, but the Senators rallied in the third for a 4-2 win.
