ALBANY, NY – The top two teams in the North Division face off Thursday as the Albany Devils host the Syracuse Crunch for a 7 pm puck drop. Albany is coming off a 5-3 loss Saturday against the Rochester Americans.

Home Team Advantage: So far this season, the Devils and Crunch have played three times, twice in Syracuse and once in Albany. All three times the home team has came out on top including a home overtime win for the Devils back on Jan. 18. Albany’s current record is 25-17-1-1 and they stand in second in the North Division. Syracuse holds first in the division and their record is 22-12-4-5.
Franchise News: This will be the Devils’ first game since the official announcement that the team will be relocating to Binghamton for the 2017-18 season. The decision was voted on at the AHL All Stars Board of Governors’ meeting on Sunday. New Jersey make an official announcement Tuesday.
Man Down Situation: The Devils are currently 90.9 % on the penalty kill against Syracuse during the 2016-17 season. They have successfully killed off 10 of 11 penalties, allowing just one goal when down a man through their three games against the first place team. On the season, the Devils are 5th in the AHL in penalty killing at 84.5%.
