
ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils face off against the Atlantic Division’s top team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Friday at Times Union Center for a 7 pm puck drop. The Penguins are coming off a 5-1 win Tuesday against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and currently have a record of 37-11-3-0. The Devils hold a 29-21-1-1 record and are coming off a 6-1 victory Wednesday against the Syracuse Crunch.

Two Points A Piece: In the Devils 6-1 win Wednesday, Ben Sexton, Blake Coleman, Brian Gibbons and John Quenneville each registered a goal and an assist. Sexton now has 30 points (18g-12a) in 50 games played, Coleman has 32 points (17g-15a) in 44 games, Gibbons has 26 points (11g-15a) in 49 games played and Quenneville has 35 points (11g-24a) in 45 games.
Gordie Howe Hat Trick: Ben Sexton got a Gordie Howe Hattrick in Wednesday’s victory after netting a goal at 18:20 of the first period, dropping the gloves at 4:21 of the second period and picking up an assist on a John Quenneville goal at 16:18 of the second frame. This is his second Gordie Howe hat trick this season. His first was in Bridgeport on Nov. 29.
Dry Streak Snapped: John Quenneville netted his first goal on Wednesday after going on a 16 game goalless streak. He earned eight points in those 16 games, picking up assists along the way. His last goal was on Dec. 30 when he netted two in the Devils 3-1 win over Toronto.
