Devils, Price Chopper Host Thanksgiving Food Drive

ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils and Price Chopper have teamed to support the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York with a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Devils fans are encouraged to donate nonperishable items during home games on Nov. 1, Nov. 9 and Nov. 11. By contributing, patrons will receive a free ticket voucher to the Nov. 20 contest at Times Union Center.

“We are once again very pleased to partner with Price Chopper to support the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York,” said Albany Devils CEO Christopher Ciceri. “This is an easy way for the team and our fans to make an impact in the Capital Region. We thought the free ticket was a great way to show our appreciation to all who donate.”

“It’s during this time of the year, as we prepare to give thanks for our many blessings, that our thoughts turn to those in need, and the very real issue of hunger in our community,” adds Price Chopper Manager of Community Relations Pam Cerrone. “Price Chopper proudly supports the efforts of the Regional Food Bank throughout the year, and teaming up with the Devils is an invitation to hockey fans to join the fight to alleviate hunger. We’re grateful for the goodwill and generosity of the team.”

Albany will battle Norfolk, Adirondack and Bridgeport during the three dates. The Nov. 20 contest is against Hartford. Tickets for the games can be purchased at the Times Union Center box office or at any Ticketmaster outlet. Fans can also buy tickets via charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at
