Newark, NJ — The Devils have announced the signing of forward Mattias Tedenby to a new contract. As per team policy, terms were not disclosed.
Tedenby, 23, collected 10 goals and nine assists with Albany (AHL) last season but was limited to 37 games because of injury. He was recalled by New Jersey at the start of the NHL season and registered one assist in four games before being reassigned to the AHL.
The Devils’ first-round pick, 24th overall, in 2008, Tedenby played in 58 games in 2010-11, when he tallied eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points with New Jersey.
The 5-9, 175-lb. native of Vetlanda, Swe., has nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points in 105 NHL games.
