Devils Weekend Roundup (Nov. 15-16)

The Devils registered two wins this past weekend weekend, increasing their winning streak to three games. Friday night at the XL Center, Devils shut out the Wolf Pack 3-0. Keith Kinkaid made 25 saves for his sixth career shutout. Riley Boychuk scored first goal of the game as well as his first as a Devil off of a loose puck at 2:40 in the first period. Joe Whitney added to the lead an odd-man rush at 6:57 and Rod Pelley completed the win with an empty-net goal at 18:44 in the third.

Saturday night at the War Memorial at Oncenter, the Devils registered a 2-1 shootout victory against the Crunch. Kinkaid posted his fifth consecutive win, making 29 saves and stopping all five of Syracuse’s shootout attempts. Reece Scarlett netted his first career goal, which Joe Whitney and Reid Boucher setup on the power play goal at 17:55 in the second period.

Albany returns home to the Times Union Center Wednesday at 7 pm game against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
