Ben Johnson and Joe Faust are back with Albany after a one day trip in the ECHL.
ALBANY, NY — After a one-day stint with the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL), defenseman Joe Faust and left-winger Ben Johnson are back with the Albany Devils. Both players were reassigned after competing in the Thunder’s 4-0 loss against the Wheeling Nailers Tuesday at Glens Falls Civic Center.
“It’s the convenience of having Adirondack, Glens Falls right here,” said Head Coach Rick Kowalsky after Wednesday’s practice. “We had a real good weekend. We had some guys banged up and we have some guys who have been sick. We had two days off and had the opportunity to get them up there and play and then get them back here for a good, solid skills day. It’s certainly convenient. Both of them have done a good job in a limited role for us. We wanted to keep them fresh and get them in a game situation.”
Faust, 24, has appeared in two games for the Devils this season, posting a +1 rating. Johnson, 21, has played three games and has an assist, a +1 rating and three shots.
