Gelinas Up To New Jersey


NEWARK, NJ – The New Jersey Devils have recalled Eric Gelinas from Albany. New Jersey announced the transaction before its noon practice Wednesday.

Gelinas, 22, has appeared in all five of Albany’s games this season, posting a goal, two assists and a plus-2 rating. In three years, the defenseman has produced 23 goals, 39 assists and a plus-3 rating in 137 AHL games. He made his NHL debut on Apr. 25, 2013 against Pittsburgh.

The roster move leaves Albany with six defensemen: Brandon Burlon, Seth Helgeson, Dan Kelly, Corbin McPherson, Jon Merrill and Reece Scarlett.
