TROY, NY — The Albany Devils are nearing full strength. Well, sort of…
However, their status for the weekend is still questionable.
“Both are feeling better,” said Head Coach Rick Kowalsky after Wednesday’s practice at Knickerbacker Ice Arena. “I think we’ll get them on the ice with the team, practice the next two days and then go from there. As of right now, I would list them as questionable.”
Gragnani has 18 assists in 32 games and Pelley, who is the Devils’ top faceoff specialist, has nine points (5g-4a) in 43 contests.
While those two near returning, Corey Tropp will certainly be in the lineup for the Devils games Saturday at Utica and Sunday at Bridgeport. He missed all three games last weekend with an illness.
However, that bug seems to be making a winter home within the Devils’ locker room.
“Tropp is feeling better,” Kowalsky said. “We had to give Brian O’Neill a day here. Tropp will be available this weekend and we’ll just keep our fingers crossed that this things doesn’t keep going through us.”
The Devils return to practice Thursday and Friday at Knickerbacker Ice Arena.
