The official start to hockey season may still be a couple of months away, but Bethlehem Youth Hockey – regulars at Albany Devils games – are hard at work preparing for the 2013-14 season

The Devils are proud to call Albany home and on Tuesday, the team will stand with the many people and businesses provide the heartbeat of the downtown area. Between 5-8 pm Tuesday, the Albany BID is hosting “Illuminate Downtown” at Times Union Center.
Although Saints and Devils might seem unlikely partners, the Siena Saints marketing majors taking Sales Management MRKT 326 gained real world experience selling tickets for the Nov. 2 Devils game.
A special thanks to the City of Albany Fire Department and Deputy Chief Joseph Toomey for their fundraising efforts for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region.
Before Sunday’s game, the Devils hosted Capital Region youth hockey players for the 2013 Albany Devils Mite Jamboree.
Last Saturday’s game featured a season-high crowd, GE Kids-In-Free, Police vs. Firefighters, Devil Dawg’s Birthday, NJ Devil appearance and a 4-1 Albany win.
The Devils collected 431 stuffed animals during the “Teddy Bear Toss,” which took place during the first intermission during Saturday’s game. Thanks to the fans generosity, the team collected more than double the total from the previous years.
The Devils have partnered with Price Chopper to support the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York with a Thanksgiving food drive during Devils home games on Nov. 2, 10 and 12.
