ALBANY, NY – Tuesday at Times Union Center was quiet. With Siena College’s basketball floor laid out for their semifinal Wednesday, the Devils had two options: practice at the Knickerbacker Ice Arena in Troy, NY or hold an off-ice workout. They chose the latter.
The team returns to the ice Wednesday morning at the Knickerbacker as they prepare for Friday’s game against Hershey. The Devils will have a chance to separate themselves further from the Bears who are in ninth place — a spot out of the playoffs. With 11 games remaining, Albany has 79 points, while Hershey has 72.
If the regular season were to end today, the Devils would be sixth in the conference and would face the Binghamton Senators (81 pts.) in a first round matchup.
Here is a look at the current Eastern Conference stands and how many points each team is projected to finish with.
