Kinkaid to New Jersey; Clermont to Albany


ALBANY, NY – The New Jersey Devils announced a pair of transactions Saturday that impact Albany. New Jersey recalled goaltender Keith Kinkaid and reassigned netminder Maxime Clermont to Albany from Elmira (ECHL). The roster moves come the same day that New Jersey battles Boston at 7 pm and Albany faces Portland at 5 pm.

Kinkaid, 24, has appeared in four AHL games this season, posting a 2-1-0-1 record with a 1.97 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage. Last year, the Farmingville, NY native made his NHL debut on Mar. 5, 2013 against Tampa Bay at Prudential Center. He made 12 of 13 saves.

Clermont, 22, has played two games with Elmira, going 0-2-0 with a 2.05 goals-against average and an .838 save percentage. In three career AHL games, he is 1-1-1 with a 1.63 goals-against mark and a .940 save percentage. Born in Montreal, Clermont was drafted 174th overall in 2010.
