Morning Skate: October 4, 2013


The New Jersey Devils opened their season last night in Pittsburgh, falling 3-0 to the Penguins. Damien Brunner recorded eight shots on net and Cory Schneider made 18 saves. New Jersey looks to bounce back tonight in their home opener against the New York Islanders at Prudential Center.

The American Hockey League season begins today, and the Albany Devils continue to prepare for their opener on Sunday at 3 pm in Hartford.
