NJ acquires Matt D’Agostini; returns Pesonen to Albany

NEWARK, NJ – The New Jersey Devils announced they have acquired forward Matt D’Agostini and a conditional seventh-round selection in the 2015 NHL Draft from St. Louis in exchange for New Jersey’s conditional fifth-round choice in the 2015 draft.

Additionally, New Jersey announced left-winger Harri Pesonen has been returned on loan to Albany.

D’Agostini has a goal and an assist in 16 NHL games this season, after starting the year with Riessersee SC (Ger.-2). His career NHL totals include 45 goals and 46 assists in 254 regular season appearance. New Jersey’s official press release can be found by clicking here.

Pesonen, who was recalled by New Jersey on Mar. 12, made his NHL debut on Mar. 16 against the Canadiens. He also played against the Rangers Tuesday and against Carolina last night. In the AHL, he has appeared in 54 outings, producing 11 goals and 14 assists. His 25 points ranks fourth among active Devils.
