NEWARK, NJ – The New Jersey Devils announced Tuesday that Rostislav Olesz cleared waivers and has been loaned to Albany. The left winger has appeared in 10 NHL games this season, posting two assists and nine shots.
Olesz, 28, signed with New Jersey as a free agent on July 5. He spent 2012-13 with Rockford (AHL), but a knee injury limited him to 14 games.
Since making his professional debut with Florida (NHL) in 2005-06, he has appeared in 365 NHL games, producing 57 goals and 77 assists for 134 points. Additionally, he has played 68 AHL games, registered 25 goals and 38 assists for 63 points.
Born in Bilovec, Czech Republic, Olesz was Florida’s first choice, seventh overall, during the 2004 NHL Draft.
