ALBANY, NY — Less than 24 hours after defeating the Providence Bruins, 3-1, at Dunkin’ Donuts Center to begin the 2016-17 season, the Albany Devils host their Home Opener against the St. John’s IceCaps at Times Union Center Saturday at 5 pm. The Devils are 5-5-0-0 all-time during Home Openers, including a 3-3-0-0 mark while playing at Times Union Center.

No Wasting Time: In his first period of professional hockey, John Quenneville scored his first career goal, which proved to be the game-winner Friday. Quenneville was selected during the first round of the 2014 NHL Draft and last season set career highs with 31 goals, 42 assists and 73 points with Brandon (WHL). Additionally, he led the league during the playoffs with 16 goals to go with 11 assists and 27 points in 21 games.
