Preview: Devils at Wolf Pack, 3 PM

HARTFORD, CT – The Albany Devils have a chance to match their franchise record for longest winning streak when they travel to face the Hartford Wolf Pack Sunday at XL Center. The Devils have won six consecutive games and are one win shy of tying the mark set earlier this year between Nov. 25 and Dec. 11.

Albany is second in the North Division and third in the Eastern Conference at 22-8-3-0 (.712), while Hartford is seventh in the Atlantic Division and 13th in the conference at 15-19-2-0 (.444).

What To Watch For

Albany: Reid Boucher and Corey Tropp lead the Devils in two games against the Wolf Pack this season. Both players have a pair of goals and an assist. Netminders Yann Danis and Scott Wedgewood each have wins against Hartford. Danis earned a shutout on Nov. 7 thanks to a 24-save performance. Wedgewood had 30 stops in a victory last Saturday.

Hartford: The Wolf Pack snapped a three game skid Saturday, downing Bridgeport, 5-4, at XL Center. Ryan Bourque netted the game winner and Magnus Helberg earned the win with 29 stops. Since the New Year, Mat Bodie and Chad Nehring have led the team with five points and four points, respectively. Bodie has five assists and Nehring has two goals and two helpers in four games.

Devils vs. Wolf Pack Series

• All-Time: The Devils and Wolf Pack are set to meet for the 65th time and the Devils hold the series advantage with a 34‐23‐2‐5 record, including a 2-0-0-0 mark this season. All‐time, Albany is 18‐9‐1‐3 at home and 15‐14‐1‐2 on the road.

• Last Meeting: After finding themselves trailing early, the Devils mounted a comeback to dismantle the Wolf Pack, 4-3, last Saturday at XL Center. Matt Lorito scored twice and Reid Boucher had a goal and an assist. Netminder Scott Wedgewood extended his winning streak to three games with his fourth victory of the season. He made 30 stops, including 17 in the first period. Corey Tropp also scored and Joseph Blandisi registered a pair of helpers as the Devils moved their winning streak to four games.
