Severson joins Albany


ALBANY, NY – The New Jersey Devils have reassigned Damon Severson to Albany from Kelowna (WHL). The defenseman just completed his fourth season with the Rockets, who were eliminated from postseason play Wednesday.

Severson, 18, was selected in the second round (60th overall) by New Jersey during the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. In 196 games with Kelowna, he registered 106 points (21g-85a), a +55 rating and 207 penalty minutes. This season, the Melville, SK native produced 52 points (10g-42a) and a +43 mark.
