Devils Take Game 1 In Toronto

Scott Wedgewood and the Devils held the AHL’s highest powered offense to just one goal in a 2-1 victory Wednesday. The Devils grabbed a 1-0 series advantage against the Marlies.

The Devils are heading to the Second Round of the Calder Cup Playoffs for the first time in club history after defeating the Comets, 6-3, Thursday.

The Devils will have to wait at least one more game to secure their spot in the Division Finals after a 2-1 overtime loss against the Comets during Game 3 Tuesday.

A four-goal second period outburst propelled the Devils to a 5-1 win against the Comets Saturday at Times Union Center in Game 2 of the Calder Cup Division Semifinal.

The Devils limited the Comets to just 14 shots en route to a 3-2 victory during Game 1 of the Division Semifinals.

The Devils 3-0 victory Saturday against the Sound Tigers was overshadowed by 248 penalty minutes, including 200 during the second period. In the end however, the win was Albany’s 46th of the season

In a season full of milestones, the Devils added one more to the record books. Their 5-0 victory against the Americans Friday at Blue Cross Arena helped the Devils reach the 100 point plateau.

In their first game back from the NHL, Reid Boucher and Joseph Blandisi both scored in the Devils, 2-1, victory Wednesday at Times Union Center.
