Backed by a stellar penalty kill, the Devils capped their three-for-three weekend with a 2-1 win against the Comets Sunday at Times Union Center.
The Devils host the Comets Sunday at 3 pm. Both teams are in the final stages of a three-in-three weekend and both clubs were victorious during their games Friday and Saturday.
The Devils and their fans are gearing up for an action-packed, promotion-filled weekend. The teams hosts Norfolk Saturday and Utica Sunday.
The Devils broke the game open in the second period en route to a 8-3 victory at Utica. Led by two Joe Whitney tallies, the team’s eight goals tied a franchise record.

Coming off a four-point weekend, the Devils begin their second straight three-in-three with a 7 pm outing Friday against the Comets at the Memorial Auditorium.
The Devils reach the halfway point of the season and begin a four-game road swing this week. The team travels to face Utica Friday (7 pm), Adirondack Saturday (7 pm) and Hershey Sunday (5 pm).
