The Devils and the Sharks see-sawed all night, but it was Dan DaSilva’s lone shootout goal in the third round that lifted the Sharks to a 4-3 victory.
The Devils are on the rebound and they host the Sharks Saturday at 5 pm at Times Union Center. The game is part of “Albany Devils Fight Cancer Night,” benefitting the Melodies Center.
After a five point week, the Devils are closer to a playoff berth. They travel to Hershey Friday before home games against Worcester Saturday and Binghamton Sunday.
Harri Pesonen’s goal in the closing minutes secured a point for the Devils, who fell 4-3 in a shootout against the Sharks. Albany erased a two goal deficit in the third period only to be bested 2-1 in the penalty shot session.
The Devils three-in-three road weekend comes to an end Sunday with a 3 pm outing against the Sharks at DCU Center.
Only 20 games remain on the Devils schedule as they travel for a three game road trip this weekend. Albany is in search of its 30th win of the season.
