ALBANY, NY – The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned Corey Tropp on loan from the Rockford IceHogs to the Albany Devils. Tropp will join the Devils ahead of their opening game at the Binghamton Senators Saturday at 7:05 pm.
Tropp, 26, has appeared in 148 career NHL and 102 AHL games during the last five seasons. At the AHL level, he has produced 21 goals and 45 assists for 66 points, playing for Portland and Rochester. This offseason he was traded from Columbus to Chicago.
Before turning pro, Tropp spent three years at Michigan State, registering 29 goals and 41 assists for 70 points in 100 games. Playing for Sioux Falls (USHL), he was a member of the 2007 Clark Cup Championship team.
Born in Grosse Point Woods, MI, Tropp is 6-0, 185 lbs. and a right-handed shot.
