What To Watch For: Dec. 16-22



The Albany Devils set a franchise record Saturday, winning their sixth straight game. Albany, which has the third best winning percentage (.692) in the Eastern Conference and the fifth best in the league, has reached the 17-win plateau faster (26 games) than any other team in club history. The 2009-10 team won its 17th contest during its 31st outing.


This week includes a pair of road games at Binghamton Saturday for a 7:05 pm start and at Bridgeport for a 3 pm outing. The Devils are 8-3-0-1 away from Times Union Center this season. All eight of their wins have come in the last 10 road contests.


The Devils are second in the Northeast Division and fourth in the Eastern Conference at 17-7-1-1 (36 pts.). The Senators are tied for second in the East Division and tied for seventh in the conference at 14-9-0-3 (31 pts.). Bridgeport is fourth in the Northeast Division and 13th in the conference at 10-13-1-3 (24 pts.).


During Albany’s sixth game winning streak, the team has outscored opponents 31-15. The Devils have points in eight-straight games (7-0-1-0) and have won 12 of its last 15. The Devils, who are averaging 3.31 goals-per-game, is on pace to score a franchise-record 252 goals this season.
