What To Watch For: Dec. 2-8



The Albany Devils have earned points in eight of their last 10 games (7-2-1-0). Additionally, the Devils have registered at least one point in four consecutive home games (3-0-1-0). This week, the team hosts the Springfield Falcons at 7 pm Wednesday at Times Union Center before traveling to face the Binghamton Senators at 7:05 pm Saturday at the Broome Country Veterans War Memorial.


Entering the week, the Devils are second in the Northeast Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference at 12-7-1-1 (26 pts.), featuring a 6-4-1-0 home mark and a 6-3-0-1 road record. Springfield is first in the division and second in the conference at 14-3-1-1 (30 pts.), including a 5-1-1-1 road showing. Binghamton is second in the East Division and fourth in the conference at 14-6-0-1 (29 pts.) with a 7-2-0-1 home mark.


Albany’s 26 points is the second most after 21 games in franchise history. The 2009-10 team posted 27 points with a 12-6-3-0 record.


The Devils tied two franchise records for goals scored and combined goals during their 8-6 victory against Bridgeport Saturday. The only other time the team registered eight goals in a game was Dec. 27, 2008 against Providence (8-1) at Tsongas Center. Previously, Albany and Adirondack combined for 14 goals during a 9-5 Devils setback on Apr. 1, 2011 at Glens Falls Civic Center.
