What To Watch For: Nov. 12-17



With wins in two of their last three games, the Albany Devils travel two hours east and two hours west for a pair of road games this weekend. First, the team faces Hartford Friday at XL Center and then heads to play Syracuse Saturday at the War Memorial at Oncenter. Both games are slated for 7 pm.


Last week, the Devils netted a season-high six goals during a 6-5 victory at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday. After a 2-0 setback against Adirondack Saturday, Albany rebounded with a 5-2 win against Bridgeport Monday.


During last week’s games, 15 of the 19 Devils skaters registered at least one point. Reid Boucher and Mike Sislo led the way with four points each. Boucher had two goals and two helpers and Sislo posted three goals and an assist. Additionally, Dan Kelly, Chris McKelvie, Rostislav Olesz, Rod Pelley, Joe Whitney and Kelly Zajac all had goals.


Entering the week, the Devils are fourth in the Northeast Division and 10th in the Eastern Conference at 7-6-0-1 (15 pts.). The Wolf Pack are tied for second in the division and tied for seventh in the conference at 7-5-0-2 (16 pts.). The Crunch are first in the East Division and second in the conference at 9-3-1-0 (19 pts.).
