What To Watch For: Nov. 18-24



With four wins in their last five outings, including three consecutive victories, the Albany Devils have moved into second in the Northeast Division with a 9-6-0-1 record (19 pts.). Additionally, the team is tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference. During the Devils current streak, they defeated Bridgeport (5-2) Monday, Hartford (3-0) Friday and Syracuse, (2-1, SO) Saturday.


The Devils are gearing up for a three game, divisional week. They host Hartford Wednesday at Times Union Center. A pair of road games follows against Springfield Friday at MassMutual Center and at Adirondack Saturday at Glens Falls Civic Center. All three games are scheduled for 7 pm.


Hartford is third in the Northeast Division and eighth in the Eastern Conference at 8-6-0-2 (18 pts.), while Springfield is first in the division and third in the conference at 10-3-0-1 (21 pts.). Adirondack is fourth in the division and 11th in the conference at 7-6-0-2 (16 pts.).


Keith Kinkaid, who was named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week Monday, is riding a five game winning streak – the Devils longest since Mike McKenna won six straight between Mar. 5-19, 2011. This past week, Kinkaid made 79 saves on 82 attempts (.963 save percentage) during three wins. For the season, he ranks tied for second in the AHL with a 1.97 goals-against average. He is 6-1-1 with a .922 save percentage. For his career, he is 44-38-10 with a 2.75 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.
