The Albany Devils travel for a pair of games against the Norfolk Admirals at Scope Arena this weekend. Friday’s game is slated for 7:30 pm and Saturday’s is scheduled for 7:15 pm. The Devils are coming off back-to-back wins at Times Union Center. They defeated the Utica Comets, 3-2, Saturday with goals from Reid BoucherMike Sislo and Joe Whitney. The team followed with a victory against the Adirondack Phantoms, 4-1, Monday. Tim Sestito tallied twice and Scott Timmins and Whitney both scored.


The Devils have started 2-1-0-0 two other times in franchise history: 2007-08 and 2010-11. The team’s best start after four games is 3-1-0-0 and after five outings is 3-2-0-0 (both accomplished in 2010-11).


Scott Timmins and Joe Whitney are both riding three-game scoring streaks. Timmins has two goals and three helpers and Whitney has three goals and two assists. Reid Boucherhas points in back-to-back outings, producing a goal and two helpers.


After three games, the Devils rank near the top for power-play and penalty kill percentages. Albany has gone 3-12 (25.0%) with the man advantage and 11-12 (91.7%) with the man down. Both percentages are fifth in the AHL.
