Mike Sislo scored his first two career NHL goals Thursday.
ALBANY, NY – Mike Sislo scored his first two career NHL goals during the New Jersey Devils, 7-4, victory against the Minnesota Wild Thursday at Prudential Center.
Sislo, who leads the Albany Devils and is second in the AHL with 27 tallies, scored at the 1:34 mark of the first period and the 12:44 mark of the second frame. The tallies came during his eighth NHL game this season and 32nd of his career.
“It’s exciting,” Sislo said. “Getting that first goal is something I’ll never forget. I’ve been focusing on playing the 200-foot game and doing the right things defensively, but it’s nice to get rewarded offensively.”
Sislo wasn’t the only Albany Devil to have an impactful night. Adam Henrique had a pair of goals, Joseph Blandisi had two assists, Reid Boucher had a goal and Jon Merrill and Damon Severson both had an assist. In goal, Keith Kinkaid made 28 saves for his eighth win of the season.
