ALBANY, NY – Its officially autumn, training camp is officially underway, the days are officially getting shorter, and the temperature is officially dropping. This leads to me to one obvious and wonderful conclusion…it is officially hockey season!
The New Jersey Devils released the complete training camp roster and with the Albany Devils season now in sight, we can begin to see the team take shape. By going through the roster and seeing those players who are on two-way contracts and AHL contracts, we will have a pretty good idea of how the A-Devils will look for the opener on October 14th.
During the next few days, I’ll be taking a look at these potential players by position.
Yohann Auvitu: Auvitu is entering his first season in North America, but the 26-year-old has played professionally in Finland’s SM-liiga. He registered 21 points in 48 games last year and was named the league’s Best Defenseman (Pekka Rautakallio Award).
