The Albany Devils lost for the second time in as many nights to the Utica Comets, losing 3-1 Saturday at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

After 20 games, spanning four seasons, the Utica Comets have finally earned a regulation victory against the Albany Devils. They did so in the form of a 2-1 decision Friday at Times Union Center.

In a mid-week contest full of big-time performances, the Devils lost to the Sound Tigers, 5-4, in a shootout at Webster Bank Arena.

The Albany Devils pushed their winning streak to three games, defeating the Rochester Americans, 4-2, Saturday. The Devils turned back the clock for the night, wearing special Albany River Rats jerseys to the delight of the Times Union Center crowd.

Trailing 3-1 after 40 minutes, the Devils scored twice during the final 10:40 and then won in overtime to defeat the Wolf Pack, 4-3, Friday at XL Center.

The Devils, led by Ken Appleby, Miles Wood and a cast of characters, ended their two-game skid by scoring three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 win Tuesday against the Marlies.

Blake Pietila completed the hat trick in the best way possible — scoring the game-winning goal in the closing minutes of the Devils, 4-3, victory against the IceCaps Saturday at Times Union Center.

Looking for redemption, the Devils used a fast start en route to a 4-3 victory against the Bears Friday. The Devils were handed a 4-0 loss against the Bears a week ago, but countered thanks to Joe Blandisi’s four-point night in front of 4,952 fans at Times Union Center.
