New Jersey have reassigned Maxime Clermont to Albany from Orlando (ECHL). The netminder joined the team for its morning skate Friday at Times Union Center. The AHL Devils travel to face the Syracuse Crunch at 7 pm.
Clermont, 22, has spent the majority of the season in the ECHL, appearing in nine games. He’s 5-3-0 with a 3.76 goals-against average and a .873 save percentage.
Since making his AHL debut on Oct. 23, 2011 at Providence, Clermont is 1-2-1 with a 1.75 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage. His last AHL game was a 3-1 loss against the Adirondack Phantoms on Nov. 2, 2013. He made 27 saves during that contest.
New Jersey selected Clermont 174th overall during the 2010 NHL Draft.
