The Devils added forward Justin Crandall Thursday
ALBANY, NY – The Albany Devils have signed forward Justin Crandall to a PTO. The announcement was made by Albany Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald. Crandall will join the team for its practice Thursday at Knickerbacker Ice Arena and has been assigned jersey number 38.
Crandall has spent the majority of the season playing with Reading (ECHL) and his 51 points, including 15 goals and 36 assists, are tied for third among ECHL rookies. The 23-year-old is making his second stint in the AHL after playing seven games for Chicago between Feb. 26 and Mar. 13. During that time, he registered a goal and an assist.
Before turning pro, the Lakevell, MN native spent four seasons at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (WCHA/NCHC). He produced 40 goals and 39 assists for 79 points in 145 outings. During his senior season, he served as an alternate captain and registered 13 goals and 10 helpers for 23 points in 38 outings.
