ALBANY, NY – Coming off a 4-0 victory against the Springfield Falcons Friday, the Albany Devils welcome the first-place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to Times Union Center Saturday for a 5 pm puck drop. The Devils extended their point streak to eight games with Friday’s victory, winning their sixth contest during that span. The Penguins had their franchise-record 11-game winning streak ended in a 3-1 loss at the Binghamton Senators Friday.
What To Watch For
• Albany: Yann Danis made 30 saves during Friday’s game. The shutout was his second of the season and 22nd of his AHL career. He is among the league leaders for several categories. He ranks second with a 1.81 goals-against average, tied for third with eight wins, tied for third with two shutouts and ninth with a .933 save percentage. Offensively, Matt Lorito had a goal and two assists against the Falcons. He leads the team with 15 points, backed by four goals and 11 assists. Additionally, he ranks third in the AHL among rookie scorers.
• Wilkes-Barre/Scranton: Despite Friday’s loss at Binghamton, the Penguins still possess the best record in the AHL at 12-2-0-0. They have outscored opponents, 57-29, and their power play ranks third in the AHL at 25.0 percent (the Devils are second at 26.4 percent). Scott Wilson, Dominik Simon and Conor Sheary lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with 15, 14 and 14 points, respectively. Wilson has nine goals and six assists in 13 games. Simon has six goals and eight helpers in 14 contests and Sheary has two tallies and 12 assists in 14 outings.

• All-Time Series: Saturday’s outing will be the 31st meeting all‐time between the Devils and Penguins. The Devils are 7‐16‐2‐5 overall with a 3‐9‐1‐2 home mark and a 4‐7‐1‐3 road record. Since the 2011-12 season, the Devils are 7-4-2-3 against Penguins.
