Preview: Devils vs. Wolf Pack, 7 PM

ALBANY, NY — A win or anything past regulation will secure the Albany Devils berth in the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs. The team still has 10 games remaining, but they will try and lock up their spot when they host the Hartford Wolf Pack Tuesday at 7 pm at Times Union Center.

The Devils are second in the Eastern Conference and in the North Division at 39-17-8-2 (.667). The Wolf Pack, who are fighting for a playoff spot, are ninth in the conference and sixth in the Atlantic Division at 36-28-3-0 (.560).

What To Watch For

Head-to-Head-HFD-Infograph• Albany: Defensemen Brandon Burlon and Raman Hrabarenka are expected to return to the lineup after missing last weekend’s games with illnesses. Burlon has four goals and 15 helpers in 49 outings this season and Hrabarenka has five tallies and four assists in 39 contests. Up front, Ben Johnson is on a three-game point streak with two goals and an assist. The left-winger has been with the team since Feb. 17 when he was reassigned from Adirondack (ECHL).

• Hartford: Chad Nehring and Marek Hrivik lead the Wolf Pack with 42 and 39 points, respectively. Nehring, who is a +13, has 20 tallies and 22 helpers and Hrivik has 11 goals and 28 assists. Between the pipes, Magnus Hellberg is 27-17-3 with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage.

• All-Time: The Devils and Wolf Pack are set to meet for the 68th time and the Devils hold the series advantage with a 35‐23‐4‐5 record, including a 3-0-2-0 mark this season. All‐time, Albany is 20‐9‐2‐3 at home and 15‐14‐2‐2 on the road.

• Last Meeting: Yann Danis set a franchise record with his fifth shutout of the season during the Devils, 3-0, victory against the Wolf Pack on Feb. 6 at Times Union Center. Albany jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the first thanks to Ben Thomson and Paul Thompson. Mike Sislo put the finishing touches on the win, scoring early in the third period.
